When my sister texted me to ask if I wanted to go on a drive along the Cape coast in a Harley Davidson "side car", my answer was "you already know what it is!" (Silentó). The "when is this happening?" and "how much is this going to cost me?" only came much later.

The drive

Turns out we were going to ride on the back of the bikes. Much to my surprise, as I've never been on a bike before, the ride was quite stable. We got strict instructions not to move too much when pulling off and slowing down but other than that we were free to move around as much as we wanted at full speed - #bikeselfie anyone?

We drove past Landudno and Hout Bay along the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive. Although it was a rather cloudy day to begin with - it's still winter here - it cleared up nicely later on and the Mother City really showed off. We stopped at the Chapman's Peak view point to take some snaps then Cape Corporate Tours treated us to coffee at The Lookout Deck at the Hout Bay harbour before making our ride back to the drop off point in Camps Bay.
